OBJECTIVES

AIMS & OBJECTIVES AS PER BYLAWS

With an object to spread and establish ‘Kayastha’ values of knowledge, hard work and acceptance, and adaptability for the general welfare of the public at large, and shall amongst others strive:

  1. To establish, run, support, and grant aid or other financial assistance to schools, colleges, libraries, reading rooms, universities, laboratories, research, and other institutions of the like nature within the territory of India for the use of the students and the staff and also for the development and advancement of education and diffusion of knowledge amongst the public in general.
  2. To establish, maintain, and run studentship, and scholarships and render other kinds of aid to students including supply of books, stipends, medals, and other incentives to study, without any distinction as to cast, colour, race, creed, or sex.
  3. To promote, establish, support, maintain, or grant aid to institutions for the promotion of science, literature, music, drama, and fine arts, for the preservation of historical monuments and research and other institutions in Karnataka, having similar objects for the benefit of the public in general.
  4. To establish, maintain, or grant aid for the establishment and /or maintenance of parks, gardens, and gymnasiums, for use by the public in general.
  5. To establish, maintain, or grant aid to homes for the aged orphanages or establishments for the relief and help to the poor, needy, and destitute people, orphans, widows, and aged persons.
  6. To establish and develop institutions for the needy, underprivileged, physically handicapped, disabled, or mentally challenged persons and to provide them with food, education, and any other help.
  7. To grant relief and assistance to the needy victims during natural calamities such as famine, earthquake, flood, fire, pestilence, etc., and to give donations and other assistance to the institutions, establishments, or persons engaged in such relief works.
  8. To grant aid or render assistance to other public charitable trusts or institutions.
  9. The operation of the society shall be restricted/confined to the territory of India and all activities will be carried out within the territory of India.
 The Association shall be irrevocable public educational, cultural Samaj for the benefit of all persons belonging to whatever community irrespective of Caste, Creed, or Religion, or Sex and shall stand possessed of said amount of corpus endowed by the members of the Association and such other properties ( both movable and immovable ) as may be acquired from time to time by the Association, by purchase, exchange, grant, allotment, subscription, endowment, donation, contribution, or any manner whatsoever {all of which shall be designed as Association Properties} on the Association herein mentioned.The Karnataka Kayastha Samaj will carry out its activities primarily in Karnataka but not be limited there if need and requirements necessitate, it may operate anywhere within the territory of India.

Promoting Kayastha Values, Social Connect, Underprivileged Women Empowerment and the Upliftment of Weaker Sections of Society

Broad Level Activities

  • Sponsoring and empowering underprivileged women through NGOs like VIDYA to make them employable to live life with dignity.
  • Helping other NGOs, such as GSQ Foundation, AIR Humanitarian Homes, Gubbachi Learning Community, etc., that serve poor children.
  • Providing relief to the poor during crises and natural calamities through the PM Relief fund, Akshaya Patra, RSS, Karnataka State Relief fund, etc.
  • Recognizing and rewarding meritorious 10th & 12th grade students annually, to motivate and encourage others to excel in academics and sports.
  • Recognizing and rewarding successful young entrepreneurs annually to encourage other young minds to look at entrepreneurship as a strong option for livelihood and generating employment opportunities for others in society.
  • Providing members, their families, and friends a platform to showcase their talent in the quarterly Newsletter/ Magazine – Kayastha Darpan.
  • Providing a platform to network with other members to explore mutually rewarding interests.
  • Providing offline and online monthly/quarterly entertaining and creative events to make members feel at home in Bangalore.
  • Providing opportunities to make friends for life.
  • Spreading Kayastha values of knowledge, hard work, acceptance, and adaptability irrespective of caste, creed, religion, colour, and gender.
