
This prestigious scholarship was sponsored by Mrs. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, an esteemed member of KKS, for underprivileged girl students under Pradhan Mantri, "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" program. KKS thanks Mrs. Ritu Karidhal and her family for donating a large sum of Rs. 6 lacs to KKS for the noble cause.
Ms. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, an eminent space scientist at ISRO Bangalore and esteemed member of KKS donated Rs. 6 lacs and handed over a cheque to Animesh Bisaria, President, KKS, for empowering underprivileged girls, during the KKS AGM for the FY 2017-18. KKS is thankful to Ms. Ritu Karidhal and her family for this gesture.
KKS partnered with an NGO, VIDYA – Vidya Integrated Development for Youth and Adults to sponsor education for underprivileged girl students on 31st October 2017. Since then, 70 girl students/women have been trained by KKS through VIDYA.
KKS has been supporting this initiative since 2017 and sponsoring Rs. 25k every year to train girl students on Tally software to make them employable. Most girls/women after training got employment and have started earning to live life with dignity.

By fostering a society that values girls and invests in their education, "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" seeks to create a brighter and more equitable future for all. KKS is privileged to have members like Mrs Ritu Karidhal and Mr Avinash Srivastava who donated Rs. 6 lacs to KKS in Oct 2017 to start empowering girls/ women from underprivileged sections of society, using the interest being accrued yearly on this amount, in association with VIDYA, an NGO empowering and transforming women. More than 120 girls/women have been trained so far in Tally accounting software and digital technologies making them employed and lead a dignified life.
KKS has been felicitating meritorious students for quite some time. The interest earned against the amount received from four Donors specifically for this purpose is used to provide yearly cash awards under different categories as specified by the Donors.
